Having been a member of the branch for a very long time, I had resisted offering to build a website (no matter how much I wanted to!), but then we decided to stop publishing our printed newsletter, News Leeds. We needed an alternative and I leapt at the chance.
We wanted a clean and simple website where we could feature both public and members-only news and information, and publicise events.
We have a monthly email newsletter that drives people to the website, and we also upload all our meeting documents. I’ve trained several committee members to add content, and we have different levels of access for different needs.
I’m hoping to be able to roll out the template I’ve created to other branches soon.
